Jennifer Vogt

EPIC Program Physical Scientist

Jennifer Vogt supports the Weather Program Office (WPO) as an Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) Program Physical Scientist.

Prior to joining WPO, Jennifer worked as a National Weather Service (NWS) Meteorologist for just over 7 years at Weather Forecast Offices located in Albany, NY and Jackson, KY. During this time, she gained valuable forecasting experience, especially with winter weather and hydrology. Outside of forecasting, Jennifer thrived building relationships with NWS’s core partners through Impact-Based Decision Support Services (IDSS) as well as within her leadership roles as a Regional CoCoRaHS Coordinator, Weather-Ready Nation Team Co-Lead and local office Webmaster. Jennifer is excited to be an integral part of the EPIC team as it allows for her to combine her forecasting knowledge with EPIC’s mission to accelerate community and research innovations into the nation’s modeling system.

Jennifer earned her M.S. degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wyoming and her B.S. degree in Meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Jennifer is a health and wellness coach through Beachbody where she loves to help others live a healthier lifestyle. She also enjoys running and is training for her first marathon this fall.
