Margaret Orr Hoeflich

Subseasonal to Seasonal Program Coordinator

Dr. Margaret Orr Hoeflich is a contractor supporting the Earth System Research and Modeling division as the Subseasonal to Seasonal Program Coordinator. Margaret’s background is in the interdisciplinary bridge between weather and communication, which she is excited to bring to the S2S team! Before becoming part of WPO in 2024, Margaret worked as a graduate assistant, doing research on atmospheric models as well as environmental communication; and teaching a variety of classes from Geography Lab to Communication Research Methods.

Margaret holds a B.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Delaware, an M.S. in Geography from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in Communication from George Mason University.
