Sarah Kwon
Special Assistant
Sarah Kwon is a contractor with Science and Technology Corp. serving as the Special Assistant in the Weather Program Office. Her prior federal experience includes time at the United States Geological Survey and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement as a Physical Scientist where she focused on long-term hydrologic changes in the tropics, isotope geochemistry, and mechanical recovery and containment of oil spills. She also spent time in the private sector focusing on environmental remediation and beach renourishment.
Sarah earned her B.S. in Marine Science (Geophysics) and a minor in Math from Eckerd College. She earned her M.S. in Marine Science (Geology) from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
When not in the office, you can find Sarah outdoors hiking with her dogs on the incredible trails in the DMV, swimming, paddle boarding, gardening, or lifting weights.
