Abstracts are being accepted for the Second Symposium on Community Modeling and Innovation hosted at the American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting, January 8-12, 2023.
Topics in this Symposium will include discussion on the motivation and process by which the community can work together to explore, validate, and integrate all aspects necessary to advancing weather and climate prediction. This open innovation approach spans everything from observation impact, model code, and software engineering to experimental design and computing architectures. The Symposium invites the community to share ideas and experiences on the research and development of Earth system models and their applications in operational forecasting, also welcoming abstracts discussing how community models can serve as educational resources in the classroom.
The 103rd American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting will take place January 8-12, 2023 in Denver, CO and online.
