Grants Manager

Anthony T. Brown is the Grants Manager for the Weather Program Office (WPO). He has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Rutgers University.

Before joining NOAA, Anthony served the federal government for 8 years as a Contracting Officer (CO). He began his career as a CO at the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency to support subsistence and medical contracts. In his recent role as a CO with the Environment Protection Agency, he managed Superfund contracts responsible for environmental clean up of some of the nation’s most contaminated sites. Additionally, Superfund contracts provide for processes to efficiently respond to environmental emergencies, oil spills and natural disasters. Anthony served on detail as a Project Officer at the EPA’s Water Division where he supported the award of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Emerging Contaminant Grant in New York State. This grant addressed eradicating emerging contaminants, like Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the drinking water of Small and Disadvantaged Communities.

Anthony enjoys spending time with his family and he is a DIY/woodworking enthusiast.
