Karen E. Williams
Acquisitions Manager
Karen Williams is the Acquisitions Manager for the Weather Program Office (WPO). She has a Bachelors in Business from University of the District of Columbia.
Karen has been with NOAA for a little over 25 years all of which have been with Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR). She spent several years as the Weather Modification Reporting Manager…which is ironically now housed under WPO. Prior to joining WPO, Karen worked with the OAR Management, Operations and Development Division as the OAR Controlled Technology Coordinator, OAR Records Liaison Officer and the Federal Register Notice Liaison. In 2020, she became a NOAA Volunteer Assistance Liaison which falls under the Workplace Violence Prevention and Response Program.
In her spare time, Karen loves traveling, boating, hiking, and doing any type of exercise that involves dancing. She enjoys spending time with family (including her two dogs – Tater Tot and Taco) and friends.
