Research to Operations Program Coordinator

Laura DeHaan is a contractor providing support as a data scientist in the Research to Operations transition team. Prior to joining WPO, Laura had a career as a Meteorology and Oceanography Officer in the United States Navy.

Laura holds B.A. degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Maine, M.S. in Hydrographic Science from University of Southern Mississippi, and M.S. in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School. Laura enjoys volunteering for the Girl Scouts and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Hancock County, providing abused and neglected children with advocacy in the court system. Laura is a member of American Meteorological Association, a Lifetime Member Girl Scouts of the United States, and a credentialed Sexual Assault Victim Advocate. Laura enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer earned her M.S. degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wyoming and her B.S. degree in Meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Jennifer is a health and wellness coach through Beachbody where she loves to help others live a healthier lifestyle. She also enjoys running and is training for her first marathon this fall.
