The NOAA Weather Program Office (WPO) is currently reviewing proposals for FY25 Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO). These NOFOs will fund six competitions, totaling up to $12.8 million per year, to support the following program objectives and priorities: 1) Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences (SBES), 2) Testbeds, 3) Observations, 4) Subseasonal to Seasonal (S2S) forecasting, 5) Air Quality Research and Forecasting (AQRF), and 6) VORTEX-USA. Each competition is published on grants.gov.

"To ensure compliance with Executive Order 14151, the Weather Program Office is excluding statements and factors related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) from the evaluation of proposals received under the FY25 Notices of Funding Opportunity. Any DEIA-related application components are no longer required and, for letters of intent or proposals already submitted, will be disregarded in the scoring and selection of proposals".
