The May 31st abstract deadline for the Unifying Innovations in Forecasting Capabilities workshop is quickly approaching! The abstract deadline will not be extended, so please submit your abstract by May 31st if you want to be considered for a presentation.

Student Travel Grants:
NOAA’s Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC), in partnership with UCAR | CPAESS, is offering a limited number of travel grants for students to attend the UIFCW 2024 in Jackson, Mississippi from July 22-26, 2024. This travel grant will include funds to cover travel to and from the workshop, hotel accommodations, and meals. Please apply by June 7, 2024. UIFCW24 is a collaborative event powered by EPIC in partnership with Jackson State University. This workshop is set to take place from Monday, July 22, 2024 to Friday, July 26, 2024 at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS, and online.

This workshop will feature several key topics related to numerical weather prediction and the UFS, including AI/ML, DA, UFS Governance, JEDI integration and more. This event serves as an exceptional platform for presenting research findings, learning about the latest updates on the UFS, and engaging in meaningful discussions.
