Subseasonal-to-Seasonal Program Coordinator [Contractor]
NOAA’s Weather Program Office and Cherokee Nation Business are seeking a Scientist III [contractor] to provide scientific, technical and programmatic support to the NOAA Weather Program Office Subseasonal-to-Seasonal Program through project development, implementation and tracking.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Interacts with NOAA program managers to gather information on existing numerical prediction advancement projects (including ensemble model design and initiatives) supporting Subseasonal-to-Seasonal (S2S) forecast improvements
Supports the preparation of Weather Program Office (WPO) Strategic Plans, Program Baseline Assessments, Annual Operating Plans (AOP), cost/schedule performance reporting and schedules for internal / external meeting coordination. Manages risk and interdependencies to meet the project goals and objectives throughout program/project life cycles
Coordinates with WPO Subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) program to bridge across timescales, research, and operations
